| - We first met Mary when we hired her to train our shih tzu, Samson. She did a great job of training US and we were so impressed with her that we have never boarded Sam anywhere else in the 8 years that we've had him. CanineWorks is not close to us, but we're willing to make the long drive because for the price, services and love, it's absolutely worth it. We can say, "We're going to see Mary!" and Sam begins wagging his tail frantically in anticipation. He LOVES going to Canine Works. He is treated like family - not just by Mary, but by her husband and son - and we know he has a safe, clean, wonderful environment while we're gone. We've even gotten pictures texted to us while we're on vacation of Sam looking like he's having the time of his life - enough that we are sometimes worried he might not want to come home! Canine Works offers such reasonable rates and offers some really beneficial services (we've used the pick up service several times!) that make it impossible for us to consider any other place for our pet. We have never had a boarding facility where our pet had such attention, activity and care and we'll keep driving past those 10 other boarding facilities we pass on the way to Canine Works whenever we need to leave Samson behind.-- Ann Knox

I would like to say a few words about Mary and her family. They are the best people one could ever leave their pet with. We had uaed Claws and Paws in Ashland for years until I received a call less than 12 hours prior to us leaving for a trip that there was an emergency and that the help they had was afraid of German Shepherds and we had to find another kennel that afternoon.
I called Mary up, taking a chance due to our shepherd having issues could they take him on short notice. She said ABSOLUTELY! We took him the next day and she sat down with us, letting Moonshine run around and get used to the place and we talked about his issues and what she had been through in the past year. She said “He needs me as much as I need him” About an hour into our drive we received a call from Mary. We thought the worst. But she was calling with good news: Moonshine was actually letting her pet him and he was licking her. We were almost in tears.
From that point on we have and will never use another kennel. The personal service is top notch. Compared to other kennels in the area…Battlefield and Claws and Paws…Canine Works cannot be beat.
Another reason they are the best, when we lost Moonshine a few weeks ago, we called just to cancel his reservation. Mary asked what was wrong. When I told her she asked if there was anything they could do. (tearing up writing this) I asked her if they had a way of moving him (he weighed 120lbs) she said they would bring a stretcher and within 10 minutes they were at our house.
They took care of him to the last minute and even took him for us to be taken care of.
She always is available to answer questions and train us at any time.
Anyone who is in need of the best for your dog…do not hesitate to contact Mary. Once you see how they interact with your pet and the room they are kept in…No place can come close to the type of attention your dog will get.
I thank my higher power every day for this family and love them as our own.
Thank you Mary, Mike & Zack

| I recently booked my dogs in at Canine Works for a long weekend. I was a little nervous after having had a bad experience at anther kennel. When I picked up my dogs form Canine Works they were not stressed at all. No shedding from nervousness as they have done in the past. What is stated on Canine Works’ website I found to be true and correct. It is nice to know my dogs will not be locked up at 6:00 PM and not let out again until 8:00 AM. The outside schedule is much like the one my dogs have at home. The place was clean and very homey. The dogs seemed very at ease with both Mary and her husband Michael. The flexibility in their hours for dropping the dogs off and picking them up was a bonus. It is very comforting knowing I have a great place to leave my babies if I cannot take them with me. Mary and Michael could not have been more accommodating and were so good with my dogs. I highly recommend Canine Works. --Mary Morgan 2013

We have used Canine Work’s services for almost 10 years and would not send my dogs anywhere else. Anyone who wants their pets to have the very best care will want to call Canine Works. My friends have asked me if they could take my dogs when I need to travel on business or holiday. I love my friends, but I know that Mary is an expert at handling the many situations that can arise. Because she literally deals with almost every breed and breed combinations, Mary is very knowledgeable on the different personalities and habits that come with each of her guests. But the most important thing is that my dogs just love her. They are always happy to spend time with her and barely say goodbye to me when I drop them off because they are so excited to see who else is there to play with. I cannot imagine trying to enjoy a worry-free vacation without having Canine Works.---Marcus Chambers

- Having dealt with them both personally as well as for work with rescue dogs, we can HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! Mary has such a way with dogs that it's incredible at times. Even dogs who have been labeled 'problem' dogs take right to her, and she can make a complete lady or gentleman of virtually ANY canine with her training. Her prices are very reasonable--In fact, I think she charges too little! The facility is clean, safe, homey, secure, spacious, and well run--both the indoor AND outdoor portions.
- The dogs in her care receive tons of love and attention. There are no dog 'runs,' but instead, appropriate-sized crates are used. The dogs aren't just walked, they are taken outside to the very nice outdoor exercise/training area where they can run and play and interact with staff, always closely supervised. They can even 'play' with other dogs if owners agree! Mary is also very helpful and generous as regards rescue animals. She has helped us out of many tight spots when we had no place else to 'house' rescues. I personally and as a professional urge you to check out Canine Works and see for yourself what a great place it is. I know of quite a few pet boarding facilities that don't offer near the quantity or quality of services that Canine Works does; several of the other places even keep people's beloved companion animals in absolutely deplorable conditions--except of course for the day of drop-off and day of pick-up. :( Fortunately, Canine Works is not one of those. --Animal Liferaft: B. Anyone who wants their pets to have the very best care will want to call Canine Works. Mary runs a remarkable boarding facility, one that I confidently refer my family and friends to. All the dogs I know who go there are happy to go. Mary keeps a watchful eye on them, keeping them safe and healthy. Her facility is clean and comfortable for the pets. I love the fact that there are NO group outings. Each dog or in my case all 3 dogs are out together, NOT with a group of unknown dogs. This is one of the main reasons I started using Canine Works. But as it turns out finding and using Canine Works was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my beloved dogs. ----- Keith Orcutt and Candy, Bailey and Cutie

| I have been a client of Canine Works for almost 9 years and there has never been a time that I have not felt completely comfortable having my dogs there. Mary and her family are trustworthy, devoted to excellence and is exceptionally cautious, always treating my dogs as if they were her own. It always makes me feel great when my dogs are so excited when we arrive and they run to Mary or Mike. I am confident they are enjoying their time there. As a lifetime dog owner, I regularly recommend Canine Works to all my family and friends. Mary is a wonderful, warm and caring person with excellent communication skills. I have never had a single complaint and strongly recommend this wonderful home away from home. –Theresa McBride
